Happy 2017!

I’m currently spending the first day of the year in yoga pants on the couch, sipping tea and having a Netflix marathon. It may not be a big jump start to the year, but after spending the last 6 months of the year being non-stop ‘go-go-go’, this veg day is exactly what the doctor ordered. 2017 is going to be just as busy as 2016, so I’m going to take advantage of lazy days when I can!

With all of the craziness that took place in 2016, I didn’t wind up sticking with my resolutions from last year as well as I would have liked. It happens, and I’m not beating myself up over it, but I’m hoping to do better with my resolutions for this year.

2017 Resolutions

  1. Invest in myself. I want to be better about making a conscious effort to improve myself in general and for my career. I want to learn new skill-sets and help myself grow as a person.
  2. Push my boundaries/try things outside my comfort zone. I tend to stay on the ‘safe’ side of things and sometimes avoid trying new things that I’m not familiar with/think I wouldn’t be good at. I want to break this habit and I’m starting it this week by trying out Whole30 – something I never thought I would ever in my right mind do. We will see how it goes!

Bring it on, 2017. I’m ready for you!
