I’m currently spending the first day of the year in yoga pants on the couch, sipping tea and having a Netflix marathon. It may not be a big jump start to the year, but after spending the last 6 months of the year being non-stop ‘go-go-go’, this veg day is exactly what the doctor ordered. 2017 is going to be just as busy as 2016, so I’m going to take advantage of lazy days when I can!
With all of the craziness that took place in 2016, I didn’t wind up sticking with my resolutions from last year as well as I would have liked. It happens, and I’m not beating myself up over it, but I’m hoping to do better with my resolutions for this year.
- Invest in myself. I want to be better about making a conscious effort to improve myself in general and for my career. I want to learn new skill-sets and help myself grow as a person.
- Push my boundaries/try things outside my comfort zone. I tend to stay on the ‘safe’ side of things and sometimes avoid trying new things that I’m not familiar with/think I wouldn’t be good at. I want to break this habit and I’m starting it this week by trying out Whole30 – something I never thought I would ever in my right mind do. We will see how it goes!
Bring it on, 2017. I’m ready for you!
