Whole30 Journey: Days 21-27

I would just like to kick off this post by asking this – Do you have any idea how difficult it is to stick to the Whole30 when you’re in New Orleans? No beignets, no wine, no hand grenade, no seafood with delicious sauces. I’m not saying that someone should send me a Whole30 award, but I’m also not saying that I’d send it back if I got one.

Stupid Easy Stuffed Peppers

During the week, I am all about quick and easy dinners. The last thing I really want to do when I get home from work is deal with a drawn out dinner preparation process and not get to eat until 8:00 PM or later. I’ll just wind up getting hangry, and that’s just not safe for anyone involved (the Firefighter in particular is a bit terrified of a hangry me). Cold Weather Comfort

Apartment woes. At some point or another, I’m sure we’ve all had them. The upstairs neighbors that moved furniture around during all hours of the night. The fairly thin walls that can’t block out the sound of the dog barking two apartments down. My apartment woe? Extreme temperature differences in each room.

CinnaBun Brunch

One of my favorite breakfast indulgences is ooey-gooey cinnamon rolls with cream cheese icing. Yummy. It usually has to be a special occasion of some sort for me to make them, because they’re not something I want to be tempted by very often (too much of a good thing and all that).

Decadent Hot Cocoa

Hot chocolate has been one of my favorite cold weather beverages ever since I was little. It’s just the perfect chocolaty treat for a chilly winter day – or really even a hot winter day and you just want a hit of something decadent and delicious.
